Pictures shows that the slide out tray is long enough to compliment the keyboard & mouse. The tray is only long enough for the keyboard, my mouse sits on the top of the desk with my monitor

I really like this desk. It's perfect for a small work area. It's the size of a school desk but at a good hieght for a computer. Fits my router, computer and monitor and a few other items well.

The instructions need a lot of work. So go very slowly if you don't do this very often and look carefully at how things lineup. This is one of the first things I've ever put together. I did not have to take it apart and start over. So it really wasn't too hard and it turned out looking really nice. Everything fit great. And it came with the one extra of everything so when the instructions say you're supposed to have know that you have more.

I had very limited space for my new pc and after a search in found this. Is the perfect size for the space I have. The desk is sturdy and of strong construction. Easy to assemble, of course, if you follow the instructions. I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it.

4 Stars because I do like the desk, perfect size for location/need... however one of the pieces was wrong so I needed to drill 2 holes (which not everyone may have said ability) and the instructions may as well have been in another language they were so bad. The directions read like "step 3 is on the basis of step 2. need part number C, part number D"... pardon? last time I checked C and D weren't numbers. Overall a good desk, just be prepared to get at least somewhat annoyed putting it together.

This was the extract type of desk I was looking for, but I’ve had two of the same desk and they have both broke with minimal use after two months each. The screws on sides work themselves out and won’t screw in and then the desk tilts and breaks down. I’d steer way clear of desk if you actually plan on using it.

I agree with a previous post that the assembly instructions are simply useless. Starting with Step one. The package of screws marked as 3 do not have any use for this unit. Just throw them away. Package marked 5 screws are the correct ones to use. The wheels are marked as number 5 on the diagram and should be disregarded. A lot of the assembly is common sense if you're familiar with similar step-by-step projects. When you get to Step 3, insert parts in package containing 1 and 2 in side rails holding the keyboard tray before adding the top for your monitor or other device. Patience is required. Once you get through the formidible assembly instructions, you'll be very pleased with this unit.

I don't regret buying this desk, despite the incredible hassle of assembly. The instructions are abysmal, the hardware is mis-labeled, and for whatever reason, the slide turned out not to want to work no matter how much I switched things around and tried different variations to get it right. That said, the desktop is incredibly low. Compare the height in the item description to your typical workspace desktop to see what I mean. There's no way I could use the slide out keyboard shelf unless I sat in an extremely short chair. I have my office chair on its lowest setting now & type comfortably with my keyboard on the desktop. I keep other stuff on the 'slid out' shelf that now is simply fixed, since the slides won't slide. Putting my laptop up on a stand helped make more surface space & I find the set up really functional. I needed a desk to fit very specific measurements in the nook where I work, and this fit perfectly. The measurements were accurate, the desk is solid & looks good, and my new work cubby is great. So it's a keeper, but not without a very rocky start & some adaptations. Would recommend...but know what you're getting yourself into when you try to make this thing into a desk :)

While this desk was the size I wanted, it didn’t roll well and ended up leaning to one side and stripping the crappy particle board so even a #14 wood screw didn’t make a difference.However, the assembly instructions were awful. This info will help:1) The bags of screws with the #3 are actually the #5 and vice versa.2) The Left and Right sides (that support the desktop) that you need to attach part of the sliding rail for the drawer to have been drilled identically instead of being mirror images of each other. This means that one side is drilled properly, but on the other side, you'll need to take the measurements of the holes from the correct side, mark the incorrect side with dots, then screw the rail into to dots. ALSO, the 2 big round holes (used in #4) must face each other rather than facing the outside of the desktop.3) The Left and Right metal rails for the sliding drawer were identical instead of being mirror images of each other. This means that you need to install one side of the rails upside down (so the lever that you need to push to release the drawer will need to be pushed down on one side and pulled up on the other).4) Screw the screw/nub things into the desktop first, then put the round metal things in the holes and slide the nub end into the holes and give the round things a 1/4 turn.
